Senator Dem Elissa Slotkin says ‘View’ is no ‘secret to anyone’ who Trump has parties on his heel

Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich, joined the co-joined “The View” Tuesday and said members of the Democratic Party had to admit that they have a problem while lawmakers fight to oppose President Donald Trump and his administration.

“I think what you saw on the floor of the house was, how, people feel passionate. I identified with the frustration my colleagues had, or not? Al Green, you know, standing and, it comes from a real place. I think I just prefer myself to do it in another way and I think you should be a question,” Trump’s words.

Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, left the room during the president’s speech after shouting and shaking his cane with the president. Slotki submitted democratic opposition to the president’s address last week.

“I don’t think it’s a secret to anyone Trump has Democrats on their heels. I don’t think, how, to pretend it’s not happening. Accept that you have a problem is the first step for healing. I think people are trying different things and that doesn’t mean I love every idea, but I identify with that need to try and do something,” she said.

The host continued again and asked Slotkin to respond to those who think it is among the Democrats who are not meeting the moment in their efforts to oppose the president. Hostin thought that Green fulfilled the moment during the speech and expressed disappointment with other party members who did not leave the address after he was removed.

“I think, see, for me, again, representing a state where people voted for Trump and voted for me, I have a responsibility to represent my entire state. But I don’t think there is someone who is feeling what is happening now, even if you voted for Trump, right? We are passing this pushing and attracting where we are happy, we love this, we love it and what do you have a teenager who is threatening yourself and others?

Co-Mayor Joy Behar jumped inside and asked if he was talking about Trump, while Slotkin went on, “No, I’m talking about our country. We are a tinge.”

The democratic legislator stopped saying that the country was experiencing a five -alarm fire in Trump’s presidency when it was crushed by the host.

However, Slotkin admitted that there were certain issues, including Trump’s economy and foreign policy, which she thought were very worrying.

“I think we are absolutely in extraordinary times and requires an extraordinary answer,” Slotkin said.

Michigan’s senator said during an interview for NBC’s “press meeting” on Sunday that the Democratic Party was still finding its base in Trump’s second term.
