Before the shots are fired and a body face down swimming from a glass pavilion on the opening scene of season 3 of HBO’s “white lotus”, your first question was probably: where is this nirvana and can I go there? The response is a bathroom in the anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas in Thailand – and yes, you can.
While the four seasons of Koha Samui’s Dramatic Coverline and Suites Suites display significantly this season, another trio of exotic gems serve as the backdrop for some of the most stunning and quintesential scenes of “White Lotus”. They each have their own stage thieves, so choose your poison, or booked the Lotus awakening escape to try without problems all three. In anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, pool villas inspired by traditional Thai wooden houses are star, and over 2,000 square meters, larger than most NYC apartments. They are the placement for the Belinda Lindsey’s room (Natasha Rothwell), with double pocket doors opened in a private pool, massive outdoor soaking bathtub (stuffed and customized on request), outdoor shower and round cabins. You will not want to leave – especially when you can order the Addicive Yam Som O Pomelo salad with Tamarind sauce and toasted coconut, or a soft curry in your cottage – but you should.
Thick drapted in the gardens designed by Bill Bensley, painted by a lily -bound lagoon, it is easy to forget that the beach is just a walk with a board away from Mai Khao. Call for a buggy (resort for golf carts) or pillow at first to make a pair of excessive Chaiise Hall installed in the pool. These go quickly and cannot be reserved – or held for more than 30 minutes with a copy of Elin Hilderbrand’s latest novel.
You too can participate in the Bowl Bowl Group therapy or reserve the Thai Warrior Signature Massage in that Pavilion SPA – and actually rest. That is to say, as long as the monitor lizards are not sprinkling nearby. Wild life is a part of life in the anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, with knots in the sea turtles across property and 98 species of birds in the country. One, the red -eyed Asian Koel -eyed, sings as if he is still auditioning for a piece in the song “The White Lotus”.
While you are more likely to travel by plane instead of the traditional red dragon yacht that transports guests to the Lotus White Hotel to Koh Samui, it is worth Hop, switching and a dance on Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket. There, in addition to the pristine white sandy beaches and clear crystal water, the anantara Bophut Koh Samui, the hotel entrance house now not infamous in season 3.
Do not last long on your iPhone in the close monkey fountain such as the character of Jason Isaacs, Timothy Ratliff when you can cool your heels in the gorgeous lobby (also presented at the show) with a welcome tea and a mint infected compress. If you have to check your email, do this in the adjacent library which turned into the white lotus gift store and – the spoiler alarm – the scene of a crime in episode 2.
Beyond lies a smooth basin, installus with giant water lilies and water lily. But do not make a mistake: Bophut has a mystical and hedonistic set vibe, straight to the Fusion restaurant of South America and Nikkei of the resort, with the name of nonadonically guilty (where you have to shamelessly order Guac Tabelside), and a pool scene on the beach on the island of the island. Stretched sea footage in the bophut means that there is no bad beach chair or room in the house, but if you want to stay as a member of the high billing cast, booked one of only two pool villas with a private bedroom that feel completely isolated, but there are only steps away from action.
The Crown Jewelery of Anantara Bophut Koh Samui – and one of the focal points of the show – is a bath. Inside the dusty rose of a wall garden, you can practice yoga as pepper Ratliff (Sarah Catherine Hook) or calm your monkey mind in one of the six thin, independent rooms, where our fabricated bath manager Belinda makes her abilities. The ritual of the foot she gets begins the treatment of lotus indulgence, a 90-minute full-body massage with lotus essential oil. Not all hotel baths are created equal, but as Belinda says, “you know how to treat a burning bitch.”
Do not sleep in the fire class of the resort, a surprisingly satisfying and zenithic lesson in the fashion of flower petals through Thai folding techniques. Get a bouquet back in your room or along with you in Wat Phra Yai (AKA Big Buda Temple) as an offer. You can even say a little prayer for another excursion: the night market of the village of Fisherman Samui. Steps from the resort on a pedestrian road, the island’s most popular market for local goods and road food has foot traffic to tell about it. Prepare to wander the stables at any speed that the crowd allows, to grip for your Knockoff bag and eat anything delicious in a skewer without exaggerating its anatomical origin. It’s a jungle there and you are here for it.
Last, but certainly not less important, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, welcoming Bar White Lotus Hotel. Here is called Lounge Birding and the best place in the house to get to the sunset or to drink on a red mustache bulb, a hand -wrapped cross between a sour amaretto and bourbon. Lounge is open to the public – until that effect of white lotus taken over – but it’s worth being a tourist guest to prove Lawana’s underestimated luxury. From the pool of infinity overlooking a startling beach to the touches of the interior design inspired by Thai-Kinez traders and classic store houses, this elegant seaside resort lives up to his guide Michelin a major difference. If “approx” is more your style, kayak at sunrise on the nearby island nearby or hit a lily position in the band’s yoga on the beach. The other episode of “The White Lotus” can wait.
Arriving at these destinations is a trip per se, but Cathay Pacific operates three flights daily from JFK to Hong Kong, as well as daily flights from Lax and SFO. It is worth stems for a premium class ticket to enter one of the airline salons for a pre -connecting massage or a visit to the foil bar.
The pool villas in the anantara Mai Khao Phuket begin with $ 714 per night; Beach pool suites in anantara bophut Koh Samui start with $ 593 per night; Rooms at Lawana Koh Samui resort start with $ 560 per night.
