Megyn Kelly is rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles to defeat Kansas City chiefs during the latest Super Bowl, but a report showing that the NFL champions will pass the traditional White House visit for the decision.
Kelly reacted Sunday to an X post from a user who mentioned a report that said Eagles did not accept an invitation to the White House to meet President Donald Trump.
“I would like to have known this before the Super Bowl. I wouldn’t waste my time rooting for them. Eagles fan? Your team suck, “user wrote with the” toxic cowboy “handle.
Kelly agreed, writing: “Likewise. Go f the eagle itself. “
The Siriusxm host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” wrote that she supported Eagles because her husband, author Doug Brunt, “is a fan”, which was why she “entered board”.
“But f this BS,” Kelly added.
The post has requested comment from the eagles and the White House.
An Eagles source told Sun Sun over the weekend that the team plans to grab an invitation to the White House.
The newspaper mentioned a “well -established interior” who said recent discussions between players and front office resulted in a “non -massive” on the question of whether the team would accept an invitation from Trump this time.
“We focus on the game for now, but if we win the Super Bowl, we wouldn’t go to the White House,” the Sun of SH.BA quoted one of the team owners.
A current player who remained anonymous told the publication that “almost everyone” decided they would refuse a Trump invitation.
“We represent a city and a state that is pressuring for rights, respect and equal values that respect every human being,” Star Eagles Sun Sun told.
“We will not forget what happened and the criticism we took to take a stand against racism, and we will not withdraw from our values of respect, integrity and equality.”
In 2018, Eagles, who had just come out of their Super Bowl victory over New England’s patriots, rejected an invitation from the White House.

The anthem’s controversy stems from an incident in 2016 when the then 49th defender, Colin Kapernick, knew during the interpretation of the song in protest against police tactics and racism.
While many athletes joined the protest, critics-including President Trump-Arguente that it was disrespectful to the flag and the army, causing the NFL to implement policies aimed at discouraging protests on the ground.
Kaepernick, who was signed after the 2016 season, later accused the Blackballing League, leading to a SFL solution in 2019, but leaving his football career effectively.
Jeffrey Lurie, the owner of Philadelphia Eagles, is known for his liberal political tendencies and support for Democratic candidates and progressive causes.
He has donated to Democratic politicians, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, and has spoken about social justice issues, such as racial equality, LGBTQ rights and criminal justice reform.
Lurie has also allowed Eagles to be active in social justice initiatives, supporting players who have engaged in activism, including those who protested during the national anthem.
Unlike some other NFL owners who are in accordance with Donald Trump and conservative politics, Lurie has positioned himself as a progressive voice in the league, though he tends to keep his political views and not highly published in comparison with some other owners.
His political stance has sometimes led to controversy, especially a championship where many conservative owners, but he has remained steadfast in his support for social change and player activism.
