CBS News editorial executive Adrienne Roark, who made titles for the morning anchor Tony Dokoupil during an interview with a critical author to Israel, is preparing to leave the network, according to a report.

Roark, who sources say he saw the writing on the wall and decided to leave a predicted union between Paramount Global and Skydance Media, is expected to take on a high role in Tegna, according to Breaker and Status Bulletin.
A CBS spokesman confirmed the report when it was reached by the post.
Roark’s departure was announced during the Daily 9 AM editorial call at CBS headquarters, the post has learned. There is no word on the date of her last day on the network.
In October, McMahon and Roark rebuked Dokoupil for his interrogation by author Ta-Nehisi Coates about his pro-Palestinian positions in the Hamas war with Israel, causing internal reactions to the network’s journalist integrity.
During a staff meeting on the anniversary of the October 7 attack, McMahon and Roark criticized Dokoupil for the injection of personal prejudice in the interview, according to numerous reports.
They argued that the discussion, which also presented co-fans Gayle King and Nate Burleson, failed to meet CBS News impartial standards, though they did not clarify specific concerns.

A source close to the situation told the post that Roark’s appearance can be attributed to the fact that “there is no security at work with the Skydance Union”.

Roark “will not lose” on the Tiffany network as there are already a considerable number of older leaders in the network, which the source described as “heavier”.
