Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan deleted what he called a “weak words” post on X that lit up anger on Tuesday after two people died in a plane accident at Covington airport, east of Atlanta.
Left wing head claimed he posted “Make American planes clash again” in an attempt to make fun of the slogan “Make America Great again” and highlight the latest fatal plane crashes under Trump administration .
But Hasan withdrew the quick reaction and quickly deleted the post.
“I deleted this sarcastic-Tweet quote because Maga and Islamophobic people are taking it out of the context and trying to suggest funny that I am inciting violence,” Hasan wrote.
“I was definitely making fun of the slogan Maga ‘Make America … again’ and highlighting the shocking number of plane clashes under Trump and FAA cuts.”
He went on: “But this tweet was poor, poorly words, and allowed people in bad faith to call me a terrorist, with a New York Post CC-Sing FBI reporter. So I wiped it. Meanwhile, the right wants to silence all the journalists as it cries ‘a free show!’ “
New York Post Jon Levine reporter really cc’d FBI and reappeared an old video showing Hasan comparing non-muslims with “animals” and gays with “pedophiles” and “sex deviants”.
Hasan apologized for remarks in 2019. Hasan, who was a welcoming at Al Jazeera at the time, said he made comments a decade ago, adding that he “deeply repented” for comprehensive remarks for non-Muslims . ”
Hasan, who is known for his radical pro-Islam and pro-Palestinian views, began his Substack called “Zeteo” after his msnbc canceled his appearance of names and left him to 2024.
The cancellation of “The Mehdi Hasan Show” and the exit of the anchor came after he was criticized for his inflammatory comments in the immediate consequences of Hamas’s deadly terror on Israel on October 7.
Hasan at the time said that Hamas’ attack was the result of “failed policies” by Israel and SH.BA
In November 2023, a month after the attack, Hasan conducted a combat interview with Israeli adviser Mark Regev, in which he accused the Israeli government of killing children and spreading propaganda and false information.
Hasan’s controversial comments did not end there. In 2021, he hastened to defend Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, who suggested that SH.BA and Israel were as guilty of “war crimes” as terrorist groups like Hamas and the Taliban.
“Look, Americans are very worried when our nation is accused of war crimes, but I am sorry to ruin this, our nation has done some very terrible things abroad, and we must be able to talk about them,” Hasan wrote in that time.
He also compared the former Israeli air strikes against Hamas in Gaza with Russia bombarding Ukraine in March 2022 in the first weeks of the ongoing European war, among other things.
