Whistleblower’s parents of Big Tech Sue San Francisco, sounding alarm for the boy’s sudden death

Parents of a new technology whistle in California, whose death in 2024 is ruled by suicide is now sueing the city and region of San Francisco, claiming they violated public record laws by refusing to meet their requests for information about the death of their son.

Suchir Balaji, 26, was an employee of Openai, the artificial intelligence company after chatgpt, at the time of his death of November 26, 2024. A district medical examiner in San Francisco ended the next day he died of a gunshot wound and self-escorted inside his apartment.

“In the two months since their son’s passage, their researchers and advice have been stimulated at every step after seeking more information about the cause and circumstances related to the tragic death of Sachir. This petition, they hope, is the beginning of the end of this obstacle, ”the lawsuit states.

San Francisco city prosecutor spokesman Jen Kwart told Fox News Digital that after serving their office, they will review the complaint and respond accordingly.

“Mr. Balaji’s death is a tragedy and our hearts come to his family, ”Kwart said.

“It has really been a nightmare for the last three months for them,” one of the family lawyers Kevin Rooney, Fox News Digital, told him.

Just days before he died, Balaji was “optimistic and happy” on a trip to Catalina Island with his friends for his 26th birthday, says the complaint filed on January 31.

Judicial proceeding describes Balajin as a “savagery of the child of a particular interest and talent for coding”. He attended the University of California in Berkeley and, after graduating, was hired as a researcher in Openai.

“In that position, he was integral in Openai’s efforts to collect and organize data from the Internet used to train GPT-4, a linguistic model used by the now qualified online chatbot chatbot,” complaint.

However, by August 2024, Balaji “was disappointed with Openai’s business practices and decided to leave to pursue his projects.” In October, he appeared in a New York Times article entitled “Former Open Study of he says the company broke the copyright law” with his photo.

Balaji claimed that “Openai violates the law of the rights of the United States because Chatgpt Trenon on products protected by business competitors and can then imitate and replace those products, risking to reduce the trade sustainability of Openai’s competitors in zero, “according to the lawsuit.

In a January 16 statement, Openai described Balaji as a “rated member” of the company team, and its employees are “still angry at its passage”.

Balaji’s parents, Pornima Ramarao and Bayami Ramamurthy claim their requests for more information about their son’s death were unjustly denied under the Law on Public Registration in California. They further claimed in the lawsuit that investigators did not take their concerns seriously about the status of the Balaji whistle.

Rooney said there are good reasons for investigators not to disclose certain information about a criminal case for the public.

“But you at least have to communicate with them and generally let them know what is being done to investigate the matter,” Rooney said. “And if this is not done here because they have made a conclusion that Suchir died of suicide and that the investigation is closed, well … then we have a right according to the law [to view police records].

“When Ms Ramarao informed the representative that her son had been a whistle against Openai and appeared in the New York Times regarding his whistle accusations, the representative refused to pursue or request any additional information,” the lawsuit claimed.

“Instead, [medical examiner’s office] The representative handed over the keys to Mrs. Ramarao Suchir’s apartment and told what she could get her son’s body the next day. The representative also told Mrs. Ramarao that she should not be allowed to see Suchir’s body and that his face was destroyed when a bullet passed through his eye. “

Dr. Joseph Cohen, a forensic pathologist employed by Balaji’s parents, performed a private autopsy and noted that the wound with firearms and balaji was “atypical and unusual in suicide”. The 26-year-old also had a contusion in the back of his head, according to the complaint.

Cohen also “noted that the lead trajectory was down with a small left -hand angle to the right” and “that the bullet completely lost the brain before drilling and placed in the stem of the brain”.

Fox News Digital arrived at Openai for comment.
