Microsoft founder Bill Gates told the “View” co-existence that he was concerned about the possible scaling of the US International Development Agency (USAID) and that this may result in “literally deaths”.
“Well, Elon, his work of the private sector, you know, has been very innovative, really fantastic. Many private sector people, when they get into government, they don’t necessarily take time to see what is the job of Good or why it’s structured as it is, so I’m a little worried, especially with these things of USAID, ”Gates said.
Gates answered a question from co-perpetrators Sara Haines about Elon Musk’s role in the US government.
“My USAID’s foundation partners on food and vaccine extraction and, you know, there are extraordinary people. You know, they are not actually the worms that work there. So you know, hopefully we will get some of those jobs back in shape. In fact, if we don’t know, you know, you can literally have millions of deaths, “Gates added.
“So, with help, people think, you know, wow, how much we give these places, as you said, it’s less than one percent. People think it’s 5%, and should be 2%, but in fact It’s below 1%, ”he added.
USAID employees were told in an email that her headquarters in Washington would be closed to staff on Monday, two sources confirmed to the Fox News Digital.
Some employees reported that they were closed by USAID computer systems, according to the Associated Press. People who remained in the system were emailed by saying that “in the direction of the agency leadership”, the facility of the headquarters “will be closed for agency staff on Monday, February 3.”
Musk aimed at USAID on his social media platform X, writing, “USAID is a criminal organization. The time for it to die.”
Gates said he would do his best to work with Trump during an interview with the New York Times.
“I’ve always thought about Silicon Valley as left of the center,” the New York Times told Gates. “The fact that there is now a significant group of the right center is a surprise to me.”
Gates also spoke at Wall Street Journal about his meeting with the president, and said he left the meeting impressed.
“I felt like he was energy and I was looking forward to helping to promote innovation,” Gates WSJ told. “I honestly impressed me how well he showed a lot of interest in the issues I brought.”
