Former White House strategy -based chief Steve Bannon was accumulated in increasing criticism that the Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is making a lot of flubes during his media appearances.
Bannon, who served as a strategist during Trump’s first administration, argued that Lutnick should be withdrawn from television, as the White House needs a unified message about its trading policy.
“I don’t know why Lutnick is still doing the media. Let me be open,” Bannon said on Monday at his “War Hall” podcast.
“I think he’s close to being a vague calamity. We need to see much less Lutnick on TV,” he added.
He praised other members of the administration, especially the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, to be selective in which media interviews accept.
“We need to have a clear message so that people understand what the process is,” Bannon said.
Lutnick, who was confirmed for the leading role of the cabinet in February, has become one for President Trump’s fees-but he has offered contradictory opinions on topics and made various faux on live television.
“There is a way to have a trading order that puts America in the first place and places US citizens first and most importantly begin to bring high value added production to the United States,” Bannon said.
“And no, Howard Lutnick, it won’t be done by robots. We’re not doing it in order to create some robots to have a better life,” Bannon said.
It was an excavation in one of Lutnick’s latest mistakes, made as he talked about the Fox News Waters host earlier this month.
“What will happen is that robotics will replace the free work we have seen all over the world,” Lutnick Waters told.
“Our high school educated people, they will be trained to make robotics mechanics. It is a kind like an overloaded BMW mechanic. You can simply fix those robots,” Lutnick continued.
The Secretary of Commerce, once the chief executive of Cantor Fitzgerald, has also returned some of his statements – first promising that there would be no recession, then adding that if there was a recession, it would be “worth it”.
Lutnick has made other controversial remarks during his media appearances, such as insincing that only “fraudsters” would complain of lost social security control, or encouraging FOX News viewers to buy Tesla shares.
His appearances on TV have been so challenging for the White House that he was asked to restrain those ones last month, reported the Wall Street Journal last week.
Billionaire Bill Ackman’s Defense Fund manager has publicly criticized the comments of the Secretary of Commerce, especially his indifference while US actions were tanked last week.
“I just understood why @howardlutnick is indifferent to the scholarship and the collision of the economy,” Ackman wrote in a post on X. He and Cantor are long connections. He benefits when our economy bursts. “
“It is a bad idea to choose a secretary of trade, whose firm has been fueled by long fixed income. It is an unconscious conflict of interest,” he continued, though he later returned comments to another post on social media.
