CNN contributor Scott Jennings entered a turning back with Tiffany Cross on a panel discussion on Wednesday evening during which the pro-trump commentator reminded the former MSNBC leader that she was released from her concert on the comCast cable network.
The tense debate took a personal turn during a Wednesday night’s segment at CNN Newsnight when Jennings, who recently signed a lucrative deal to stay in Warner Bros. Discaved owned, brought the sudden exit of the cross from its previous network.
“You left your job. How important are you?” Jennings told Cross during the discussion.
In 2022, Post reported that Cross did not turn 30 rocks after it ignored numerous management warnings to refrain from making inflammatory comments to Trump’s conservatives and supporters.
The conversation began as a debate on President Donald Trump’s tariff policy and evolved into a broader conversation about US foreign policy.
Cross criticized what she characterized as a “colonizer’s attitude” about Trump’s past suggestion that the United States buy Greenland from Denmark – a proposal that was widely fired by both countries at the time.
“It’s a colonizer’s attitude to say,” I like it, I’ll just steal it, “Cross said during the segment.
“You can’t go and say,” I like it, it’s mine now. “It doesn’t work that way.”
Jennings, clearly entertained, interrupted. “Steals what?”
“Earth, Earth,” Cross replied, continuing, “this is what they are trying to do. And in this new world order -“
Jennings interrupted again with a laugh. “What?”
Cross doubled, saying, “Yes, absolutely. When they are watching Greenland and say,” I like it, I want to take it for mine. “This is a very colonizer attitude.”
Jennings objected, “I’ve never said we will go to Greenland and ‘we colonize it or steal it.” That’s crazy. ”
“I’m not even talking about you,” Cross withdrew. “You are not a member of the government. So you are irrelevant to that point. I am talking about the President of the United States.”
This is when Jennings responded with a strong answer: “You left your job. How important are you?”
The cross tried to direct the conversation back into politics. “Scott, if you want to engage in personal insult -“
“I don’t, but you do,” Jennings replied.
“What you miss in the legitimate point, you compensate for it to personal insults,” Cross said.
“I don’t. You do,” repeated Jennings.
Despite the bright back and on, Cross continued to make its issue, saying, “the point I am doing is in this new world order, we are seeing in places-whether they are opposed or ally-but it is what kind of agreement we can get. And we cannot govern.”
“We cannot legitimize that way. We are increasingly isolated on the world stage,” Cross added.
Jennings disagreed, simply saying, “No we are not.”
In November 2022, MSNBC shared ways with cross, choosing not to renew her contract after nearly two years as a host of “The Cross Connection”.
Her departure came after repeated internal concerns that her comment did not match the editorial standards of the network, according to numerous reports.
Cross had prompted controversy with provocative languages and open criticism, not only of the conservatives but also the democratic leadership.
In an interview with Charlamagne said god shortly before her appearance at MSNBC, Cross referred to Florida as “D -Country” and added, “it’s in shape like her, and people there behave like her.”
After the release of the Kenosha Kyle Rittenhouse revolts, Cross expressed anger and said, “This is what the white superiority looks. Not just the killer, but the system that proved his behavior.”
Earlier this year, Cross exploded its old network for fire Joy Reid and called on black viewers to avoid the channel.
She continued to accuse the morning hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski of “bending her knee” to Trump.
