Former MSNBC leader Tiffany Cross and conservative expert Scott Jennings clashed on Monday the night he claimed “none” of the angry Town Hall protesting that the Trump administration are Republican voters.
CNN Panelists “Newsnight”, led by the anchor of guests John Berman, examined how local municipalities have been distributed in chaos over the past few weeks while GOP lawmakers face angry anti-trump ingredients.
“I think these are not just Democrats – I know these are not just Democrats voters. These are really many Republican voters,” Cross said, causing a fire between Republicans on the panel.
Jennings and Cross, whose contract MSNBC did not last in 2022 after some controversial moments in the air, immediately began talking about each other.
“They are not. They are not Republicans,” Jennings intervened. “One hundred percent false.”
The two continued to speak at the same time when the clash was lit, with Jennings claiming that no Republican voters followed city halls.
“Who would know more about Republicans? I or you? They are not Republicans in that meeting,” Jennings said.
Cross replied, “Well, between the two of us, who is more reliable? I would argue me. I’m not here defending this funny administration.”
The conversation began when the former Republican Rep. Joe Borelli from New York claimed that city protests were orchestrated by Democrats only.
“To quote Zoolander,” I feel like getting crazy pills “because the Democratic Party on the one hand may not seem to understand how to get the survey numbers properly, but on the other, they are actually being organized,” Borelli said.
For example, Senate Chuck Schumer’s minority leader has called on Democrats to “come out and protest,” Borelli said.
“We are mobilizing in New York. We have people going to the Republican districts and going after these Republicans who are voting for this and forcing them to change their vote or face the consequences,” Schumer said during a recent interview with PBS.
Borelli said that Schumer, who has landed on his party’s fire line after voting in favor of a draft law on GOP spending, serves as evidence that “these are events organized by Democratic Party members”.
“They are organized events. They are not there to meet with a member of the Congress and get a real dialogue,” Borelli added. “They’re there to get the viral moment.”
Cross called it a description a “misappropriation”, arguing that Republicans are also present in the protests of the city hall. She mentioned “Reporting” and “Videos”.
“They are. They are. We can agree on the basic facts,” Cross continued.
Jennings continued to argue it: “By no means, literally not.”
After Cross sought to finish her argument, she said: “There are many people who are not happy with that.”
“I feel a certain sense of living in it and sitting on it because you all made around, and we are making the discovery. So I don’t have much empathy for those people,” Cross added to the Republicans who repent for their vote for Trump.
