President Trump’s allies are pushing the White House to restore Elon Musk’s media appearances as his social security attacks – which he called “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time” – Stoke’s concerns between lawmakers and voters, according to a report.
Although Trump has pledged that social security is nowhere to go, the muscles of the government’s cost reduction-has increasingly clashed the program during media interviews.
“There is no daily light between President and Elon Musk,” a White House official told the post in a statement. “Continuous attempts to plant division in the Trump administration are desperate and do not achieve anything.”
“President Trump has been clear, the only changes in social security will be the end of taxation for this benefit for those who worked hard to win it,” they continued.
During his appearance in Podcast Joe Rogan in late February, Musk called social security “the largest ponzi scheme of all time”.
Just a few weeks later, he again aimed at the popular government program during an interview with the business host Fox Larry Kudlow.
“Waste and fraud in the expenses of rights, which are most of the federal expenses, are fair, so this is great to eliminate,” Musk said.
Some Trump’s allies – including Wall Street’s Bigwigs, corporate leaders and lawmakers – have contacted the White House and even Trump himself to call Musk to be removed from the air or more written, according to an NBC news report that quotes anonymous sources.
One Trump adviser told NBC News that they were aware of the “external disturbance” about Musk’s comments.
“Of course they don’t want their social security to wait,” a White House official told The Outlet. “So if they hear something in the news that Elon Musk is saying, that we have to do something with social security – of course there may be some concerns. But the only concern they have to worry about is what the President of the United States is saying and what you are doing.”
“We have not touched social security. We will not affect social security,” they added.
White House secretary Caroline Leavitt also doubled in the president’s message that social security is here to stay.
But Musk’s comments have still destroyed some feather – especially after billionaire Tesla found a sawmill for some government agencies.
“Without reforming social and medical security, both programs will collapse and take the government with them,” the Republican lawmaker NBC told. “But the last thing we have to talk about is system depreciation. It’s not a ponzi scheme, it’s just a law of the right to be reformed.”
“The more of these interviews in Musk, the more discussion we will have,” they said, adding that the 2026 campaign is likely to be a referendum for Musk – with “post -saw advertising advertising.”
A Musk representative did not immediately respond to the post for comment request.
It is a reference to Musk’s memorable image that has a sawmill on stage at the conservative conference of political action last month, along with President Javier Milei, Argentina.
But Musk’s Doge has also symbolically received an ax in what he has called it vain and misleading – cutting grants from the Education Department and trying to close the US international development agency.
A federal judge last week blocked the closure of Music’s USAID and called for employees to return.
Social security workers told NBC News that Musk’s comments on the law program have exacerbated their concerns that the White House would move to privatize their department.
Doge has closed several social security offices and has tried to limit telephone services so that the recipients have to go in person to help make changes.
These changes have increased waiting time and can be particularly challenging for older recipients, employees said.
