Jon Stewart aimed at Senate Chuck Schumer’s minority leader for voting in favor of a Republican spending law – claiming that the New York Democrat is likely to “get something from this”.
Stewart – who wore low glasses on his nose bridge for a vague impression of “Chucky” – moved to the Democrat for his party’s abandonment of GOP spending and not taking a strong stance against the Trump administration.
“What happened F -K?” Stewart shouted during an eight-minute run at The Daily Show.
“I know what’s going on here,” he continued. “You probably got a little bit of this, or not? You wouldn’t give up that lever power in the budget for nothing. My assumption is that Chucky got some cheese.”
The leftist comedian played a Schumer clip announcing that “Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate”-followed by the Senator footage voting for the Republican bill, to get loudly from the members of the Daily Show.
“Senator Schumer, UH, without disrespect, but you are a shame on Jewish stereotypes for financial negotiations,” Stewart jokingly said. “I thought the whole purpose of us is what we do!”
“Are you doing?
He attacked Schumer’s speech that negotiations with the Republicans are sailing quietly in the gym when gopers “lose their inhibitions”.
“They’re just acceptable with you because they want you to leave them alone in the gym … on the stationary bike,” Stewart said laughing.
“Peddling really hard and not going anywhere – it’s a great metaphor for the Democratic Party now,” he added.
Stewart also shared a strategy that Schumer mentioned during his interview with the New York Times magazine – that Democrats will “hold it” until President Trump’s approved approve to plunge below 40%. At the time of the interview, Trump had 48%approval, Schumer said.
In the sub-40%sign, Schumer said, Republicans will be more likely to talk to the Democrats.
“You will hold it. Keep it. Keep it – what?” Said Stewart. “That was it!”
He added that the “Big Plan” from the seemingly Democratic Party “will continue to complain smoothly until the 48th approval”.
