Exclusive | 5 Main Sleep Trends Discover – Here’s which they actually work

Time to give the so -called rest of so -called sleep?

The team behind the sleeping cycle in the sleep cycle printed data from over 1 million global users to determine the short media shorts that have gone viral. Sweden -based company recently released the results as part of its annual sleep around the world world.

“This year’s trends have undoubtedly been an interesting mix of the old and new,” the post Michael Gradisar, the sleep cycle told The Post.

Michael Gradisar, head of the sleeping cycle of sleep science, praised five popular sleep hacks and discovered whether to throw ‘or return to reality.

“Let’s only say those of us who gain a living life by improving people’s sleep do not use these,” he added. “But some of these trends highlight how far people are willing to go in search of better sleep.”

Gradisar praised five of these popular sleep habits and divide if he would throw ‘or return to reality.

The mouth

Placing a small piece of the medical ladder ribbon across the lips forces the snooozer to breathe through their nose instead of their mouths.

Practice is designed to increase sleep quality by reducing snoring and dry mouth. Some claim to even grab jawlines and improves facial features, though there is no scientific evidence that is the case.

Gradisar said the “type of work” method when the lips are tapped vertically, but encourages consultation with a respiratory sleep before trying it.

“While a small study has shown promising results in reducing the severity of sleep apnea with mouth surveillance, the evidence is still limited,” he wrote in the sleep cycle ratio.

sheet

Conducting materials such as silver or copper are woven into the fabric of this bed, also called earthing sheets.

The sheets are inserted into a wall plug to create an electrical connection between the user’s body and the soil. The flow of electrons is supposed to reduce pain and inflammation while it improves circulation, energy and sleep.

Gradisar is not a fan, calling the supposed power of the earthing sheets a myth.

“There is no single study that has tested sheets for sleep.

The sleepy mocktail girl

Gradisar said the coloring, non-alcoholic of tiktok, non-alcoholic cherry juice, magnesium powder and sparkling water or prebiotic soda “type of work”.

“While some of the ingredients, such as toasted cherries and magnesium, have shown modest potential to support
Sleep in specific circumstances, their effects are generally delicate and not obvious universal, ”he explained.

“Mocktail’s alcohol -free aspect is a positive step for sleep health, but its overall impact on sleep quality is likely minimal for most people.”

Digital detox

There is a digital division – some experts advocate against the use of the smartphone in front of the bed. olga_demina – stock.adobe.com

Some experts discourage the use of electronics before bed because the blue light emitted by these devices can suppress melatonin production, an essential hormone for regulating the sleep waking cycle.

Gradisar called the need for digital detox a myth.

“My research team has spent hundreds of hours investigating how different technologies affect sleep,” he wrote. “We have discovered that they usually do not have a significant impact on sleep if a regular sleep time is associated with the natural cycle of waking up to someone’s sleep.”

It is okay to play video games or use a smartphone, Gradisar said, as long as you rest in front of the bed with more passive activities such as watching TV or listening to a podcast.

Divorce

Partners who sleep in beds or separate bedrooms are gaining ground across the US – and Gradisar approves behavior as a way to improve your overall health and relationship.

“There are strong evidence that factors such as movement, noise and temperature inequalities from a partner to bed can disrupt the quality of sleep,” he noted.

“While there are many solutions to address these issues without separating, sleeping away can be an effective opportunity to improve individual sleep when other remedies are not enough.”
