Fox News star, Kat Timpf recently provided an update over her diagnosis of cancer, sharing her journey just weeks after discovering she would need her breasts to be removed.
The 36-year-old commentator and the young mother first revealed her battle with breast cancer shortly after birth, explaining that she will undergo a double mastectomy in February.
Timpf on Friday posted a photo outside the Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center in Manhattan.
Once I recover from the birth of children, the wounds of lifting the nishani recover, I get a double mastectomy, get rid of my cancer, have breast reconstruction surgery and I’m physically capable of returning to the gym, finished for UB-Z, ”she wrote on her Instagram.
After its public announcement, the timpf was received with a spill of support and good wishes.
However, she also admitted that she felt overwhelmed by unwanted medical advice, which led her to directly address her followers.
“First of all, thank you very much for all the support. It’s been a lot of thought to me. This is definitely a really crazy, hard, unexpected time and I really appreciate it,” Timpf said in a video update.
“But I wanted to address some things because I have also been overloaded. I think you can say, medical advice?”
The Fox News host explained that while many people had good intentions, some questioned her decision to undergo a double mastectomy.
Some individuals shared stories about their loved ones with a phase-zero diagnosis, who had chosen a lumide instead of a complete mastectomy.
Others, identifying themselves as medical professionals, suggested that a dual mastectomy for cancer on stage-Zero looked “extreme”.
“I just want to say. Believe me.
“I don’t easily get my t – s. As a general rule, I don’t think any woman does. I find it devastating. But I am very grateful to have access to the thoughts of many excellent minds when it comes to breast cancer. “
Despite accepting the emotional number of the procedure, TIMPF stressed that it trusts the expert medical team that guides it during the process.
She underlined that her main advantage is to ensure that she remains healthy and present for her baby’s future.
“I was very lucky to have a team that is very well known about it. I talked to a lot of different people, and the focus of all these conversations is what is the best thing to do to keep me alive, so I’m around for my son for a long time,” she added.
Timpf first announced her diagnosis in a cordial post on social media, revealing that she learned about her condition just hours before she was in work.
“Last week, I welcome my first child in the world. About fifteen hours before I got to work, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, ”she wrote.
She assured her followers that her doctors were sure that the cancer had not spread, calling it a phase-zero diagnosis.
