Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday mocks CBS News, suggesting that his mother -in -law was being “bullied” by her reporters in an attempt to attack President Donald Trump on diversity, equality and involvement policies (Dei).
CBS News published a story entitled, “She advanced Dei at her university. Its son -in -law, vice president JD Vance, wants to finish it throughout the country,” who put Lakshmi Chilukuri, the Sixth College of California San Diego, who is also the mother of Vance’s mother and Vance’s mother.
“Chilukuri helped create a pilot course on race, ethnicity and gender in biology and medicine, served on the University’s Biological Sciences Diversity Committee, and proudly wrote about its school’s engagement to diversity,” reports CBS News Gram Kattes and Daniel Klaidman.
“A blow to what President Trump and Vance call ‘Wokeness’ has been a distinctive sign of the first weeks of their administration,” continued Keses and Claidman.
“The widespread stairs of the Dei Program at the Academy, the Government and all the corporations have scored some of the earliest victories of the administration.”
Vance exploded CBS News when they were asked comment from the exit.
“I don’t like Dei, and I’m proud of what our administration has done on that front,” Vance CBS News told.
“But I love my mother -in -law. If she does not share my views on Dei, I think she will have to do what 99 percent of Americans do when confronted with a family member who does not always agree with them: overcome it, “Vance added.
“This story exists because CBS has decided that teasing my mother -in -law is a reasonable price to attack President Trump.”
CBS News did not immediately respond to a comment request from Fox News Digital.
Vance also told CBS that he chooses to focus on “the kindness and fact of Chilukur that she is an incredible mother and grandmother dear to the most important people in my life.”
The CBS News part continued to say that “the Trump administration has attacked Dei on the college campuses with special zeal, threatening investigations, sues and canceled federal funds”, and noted that Vance was vocal for fighting Dei “.

Indeed, the Trump administration has made it a key advantage to renounce Dei from the federal bureaucracy, and the president has signed numerous executive orders aimed at addressing what he argues is a practice that does more harm than ignoring meritocracy.
CBS also admitted that its parent company has removed the Dei Initiative since Trump took office.
“Many corporations have been following the lawsuit, including the parent company of CBS News, Paramount, which at the end of February ceased to use employment goals in relation to race, ethnicity, sex or gender, among other policies related to Dei,” wrote Kattes and Claidman.
Usha and JD Vance have been married since 2014, and they have three children together.
Trump filed a $ 20 billion lawsuit against CBS claiming intervention in his election to address a “60 -minute” interview with then President Kamala Harris, accusing his democratic rival’s aid network through deceitful editing just days before the election.
Andrew Mark Miller of Fox News Digital and Sarah Rumpf-Whitten contributed to this report.
