Former Meta Coo Sherryl Sandberg ‘lied’ about flying to the 2013 dormitory that crashed into San Francisco: Book

Former Meta Coo Sheryl Sandberg fabricated a claim that she was planning to take a flight of Asiana Airlines that completed the reduction of clashes in San Francisco more than a decade ago, killing 3 and injuring nearly 200, according to one of her former Subordinates.

Sarah Wynn-Williams, who worked under Sandberg for six years as director of public policy when the company was known as Facebook, claimed in its new memory that CEO Mark Zuckerberg ex 2 “Lie[d] about disappearing closely ”Asiana Airlines’ 214 flight.

“People don’t lie about the crashes of the plane lost closely, right?” Wynn-Williams wrote in her memoirs entitled “Careless People: A Warning Tale of Lost Power, greed and Idealism.”

“Why would she be? It’s not like what needs attention. “

Wynn-Williams wrote: “I never see Sheryl in the same way after that.”

The flight associated with San Francisco rose from Incheon International Airport near Seoul, South Korea, on July 6, 2013 with 307 people on board.

The plane crashed at San Francisco International Airport after pilots mismanaged the access of the plane. Boeing 777-200er was flying very low and very slow as he tried to go down.

Emergency responders quickly arrived, and most passengers were able to evacuate before the spread of fire.

However, three people died, including what was driven by a rescue vehicle after the consequences. A total of 187 passengers were injured, with many spinal cord injuries and in the head.

In a Facebook post published shortly after that day, Sandberg claimed that she, along with her family and some colleagues on Facebook, had initially planned to take the flight.

“We switched to United so we can use miles for my family tickets,” she wrote.

“Our flight was scheduled to enter the same time, but we were early and landed about 20 minutes before the collision.”

Sandberg posted a viral note on Facebook shortly after the plane. She claimed that she would “initially take the Assiana flight” from Seoul to San Francisco. Shel Sandberg / Facebook

Sandberg posted many Facebook updates to assure her followers that she and her traveling friends were unharmed. She also showed that David Eun, a friend and executive at Samsung Electronics, had been on the Assiana flight but was safe.

“A serious moment to thank,” she wrote.

Her post quickly gained withdrawal, exceeding 3,000 likes within the first hour.

But Wynn-Williams, author of the recently published book “Careless People: A Warning Tale of Lost Power, greed and Idealism,” said Sandberg’s post was not true.

In her memory, she wrote: “I roll in the news and see reports that Sheryl, [Facebook’s then-director of global communications] Unyielding [Frost]And others in our team had to be on that flight. “

According to Wynn-Williams, Facebook employees learned about this by posting Sandberg. She then called Frost.

In the book, Frost is quoted as saying that Sandberg’s post was “completely weird” because “Shel always flies united” and “we never considered Asiana”.

“I don’t know why she posted it,” Frost quoted saying Wynn-Williams. “I don’t know why she labeled all of us [in the Facebook post]”

Frost referred to posting on her social media account, where she wrote: “While I appreciate everyone’s perspective is different, a bunch of stories have been exaggerated or just haven’t happened.”

A Meta and Sandberg spokesman refused to comment.

Wynn-Williams book contains other vague claims. According to former Meta employee Sandberg once had a personal assistant to spend $ 13,000 in the interior on her and her boss while on a trip to Europe.

During a private jet flight, a pajamas-lined sandberg invited Wynn-Williams to “Come to bed”-an offer that the subordinate did not accept, according to the book.

Wynn-Williams also wrote that she was a witness of Sandberg and her aide, Sadie, sleeping in each other’s laps and hitting each other’s hair on road trips.

The author also accused another Meta executive, Joel Kaplan, of her sexual harassment. The company said it launched an extensive internal investigation that cleared Kaplan.
