Kuo, 46, began the Hudson Health Pain Clinic and eventually shifted his focus from pain management in regenerative medicine and cellular health after having a close encounter with him.

“Despite being a doctor, I was overweight. I was pre-diabetic, I had brain fog. I couldn’t focus,” Kuo told the post. “I was really slow and that was, like, in the late 1930s. I was like, ‘what’s going on?’ “

The father of two traveled around the world, consulted with other doctors, tested new technology and drafted a Biohacking plan about six years ago.

Now trim with burnt features and a boyish face, Kuo practices what preaches in Extension Health, 160 7th Ave, who officially re -tale last summer as a destination for renovation.

“There is no other place in New York City, or frankly, even all over the world that I know about this has all these younger therapies,” Kuo said.

He plans to extract an annual $ 250,000 membership that covers the “testing and the most advanced therapeutics”. Two “affordable” levels will start about $ 10,000 a year. Services are now à la carte.

“You can spend some hundreds of dollars up to tens of thousands of dollars somewhere. There’s a price point for everyone,” Kuo said. “My goal is to make this accessible to as many people as I can.”

Cozy spaces and plush West Village, containing a lush greenery wall that symbolizes growth and vibrancy, usually attracts two types of patients.

There are those with chronic illness – people suffering from Lyme disease or long mold exposure, who have been “failed [by] Traditional medical system, ”Kuo said.

And the other half are Biohackers, millennial celebrities and middle -lived CEOs seeking to rebuild their bodies, even spend all over the world for days or weeks of treatment.

The latest acolity includes the Multi-Hifenat La La Anthony filmmakers, 45, “It ends with us” Justin Baldoni, 41, Tesla’s director (and Elon Musk’s brother) Kimbal Musk, 52, and big football Troy Aikman, 58.

“Some of them are very healthy, 60-year-olds with nothing bad,” Kuo told his patients. “But they are just very interested in what is there. What is next?”

New beginnings

Young patients undergo full assessment and share their health goals. Consultations begin at $ 400.

“Most patients these days, they complain of anxiety issues, sleep issues, brain fog issues, energy issues – and traditional medicine really doesn’t have great ways to address it,” Kuo said. “And so I’ve come up with all these small protocols and peptide therapy and procedures that can help with this.”

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved any medication to treat aging because the agency does not consider aging a disease, but doctors can still prescribe “outside labels” medication.

Kuo aims to optimize three main indicators of body function – metabolism, hormones and inflammation.

Its its comprehensive diagnostic package $ 999 includes a Dexa scan to detect body composition and bone density; a VO2 max test to highlight aerobic sustainability and cardiovascular gym; a 3D scan for postural extension; a test to determine the number of calories burned at rest; Blood work to evaluate biomaric indicators, hormone levels, inflammation and metabolic markers; and a consultation.

“This is a really good deal because you are really getting all the basic information you will need to make a plan,” Kuo said.

The basic diagnostic package, which does not include blood work, costs $ 699. Providing patient can cover some lab work, but not much more.

Level 2 therapeutics are peptides, supplements and medicines. Peptides are short chains of amino acids that affect the function of a cell by connecting to the receptors in its membrane.

In anti -aging treatments, peptides can stimulate collagen production to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, protect the skin from environmental stressors, and function as antioxidants. They can be administered through injections, pills or current creams.

Peptides can cost over $ 300 a month – some patients get some of them.

“You can do so much with peptides and hormones,” Kuo said. “You can simply choose someone metabolically, hormonely, get their levels of inflammation, lower their weight, get their insulin resistance pleasant and high, simply make their systems work better. At the end of the day, it comes down to cell health.”

Kuo is known for these “neuro reset”, which is supposed to reassess the response of war or flight, increase concentration, memory, brain function, sleep, digestion and immunity. The 10-minute procedure is intended to relieve anxiety, stress and PTSD.

Kuo injects a local anesthesia into the nerves in the neck to temporarily block signals in the center of fear of the brain and inject fluid around the vagus nerve to relieve pressure and promote relaxation.

“I have made thousands of these cases,” Kuo said for the reset of Neuro. “Not to boast, but I see some state heads in the Middle East and royal families [who come to] New York for this type of treatment. “

Neuro resetting is $ 1,500. “Complete Neuro Reset” with ketamine therapy is $ 2,000 – some people make four neuro reset per year.

Luke Morong, 37, said he visits the health of extending about once a month.

He was initially trying to avoid surgery for a hernia disk in the neck-and he found relief with peptides, exosome (small RNA packages) and platelet-rich plasma therapy (using his blood to promote healing) in the melody of $ 20,000 to $ 30,000.

He from “descending to the rabbit hole” experimenting with other treatments.

“The act of balancing is a lot of them becomes expensive very quickly,” told Morong, who works in private real estate capital for The Post.

In addition to starting membership packages, Kuo is interested in creating an online destination for longevity medicines such as Metformin and Rapamyc, a controversial immunosuppressant of the evangelist Bryan Johnson, 47, recently fell from his regime.

Kuo, who collaborates with Johnson, has received Rapamyc for nearly a decade for his anti -aging powers. He noted that there is no “one size fits all” path to a longer life.

While the Health Stretch Pork, Kuo is constantly exploring new medicines and access – he will soon test a blood filtration treatment in the clinic – and storming the brain with youth chambers.

He is in a “very active group conversation” with 200 longevity doctors from all over the SH.BA

“I want to single out the noise from what is true and be able to offer it to our clients,” Kuo said.
