The Washington Post publisher met for coffee last month with a prominent right -wing journalist to discuss ways to seduce reporters and more conservative editors for the mainly left -wing, according to a report.
Will Lewis, who was intercepted to lead the Washington Post from the many billionaire founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, sat for a record of the free Beacon Eliana Johnson editor, according to Oliver Darcy’s status bulletin.
It is unclear what the meeting came, according to the status. The post has requested comment from Lewis.
“I do not comment on private meetings or conversations, not that they are issues of deep interest to many,” Johnson told the post.
The news of the meeting coincided with the MSNBC announcement that Jackie Alemany, which covered politics in the Washington Post, was on board as co-expecting one of his “Weekend” panel shows.
Alemany will co-organize the show along with another Washington Post personality, Jonathan Capehert and Eugene Daniels, the White House correspondent for Politico.
“Jackie has built a reputation of responsibility journalism covering the country’s capital from both sides of Avenue Avenue Pennsylvania,” Rebecca Kutler, President of MSNBC, said in a statement.
“Her addition as a co-proof of the ‘weekend’ in the morning, along with Eugene Daniels and Jonathan Capehert, strengthens this trio as a reliable expert and interior table our audience is looking forward to wake up with every Saturday and Sunday.”
Alemany is the latest Washington Post journalist leaving the newspaper in the wake of managing his editorial sites and opinions.
Since the beginning of the year, some WAPO employees have been removed, including Ben Terris, Leigh Ann Caldwell, Tony Romm, Isaac Stanley-Becker and Cristiano Lima-Strong, according to status.
Employees who spoke about status describe a newsroom surrounded by low morals in the wake of leadership decisions.
“I have worked in the messy newsroom and even when I escaped them, I still thought I could tell someone why it should or should not work there, depending on their career goals and values,” a former Washington Post Status employee told.
“I can’t do any such occasion for posting.”
Bezos, who bought Washington Post from the Graham family in 2013 for $ 250 million in cash, announced last week that the newspaper’s thought section would be dedicated to protecting “personal freedoms” and “free markets”.
David Shipley, the newspaper’s opinion editor, resigned. It is reported that more than 75,000 readers canceled their agreements in the protest.
Weeks before the November 5 elections, Bezos blocked the editorial board to approve the democratic nominee, former Vice President Kamala Harris – an action that led tens of thousands of readers to cancel their reconciliations.
Bezo’s decision to hire Lewis as a publisher also met with plot from editorial staff.
After taking over as a publisher in June last year, Lewis named Murray as an executive editor, replacing Sally Buzbee.
New York Post has been looking for comment from The Washington Post.
