Jon Stewart has officially invited Elon Musk to appear in The Daily Show after the billionaire’s entrepreneur suggested that he would agree with an interview under one condition: that he would be “unmatched”.
Stewart’s invitation comes day after the “Daily Show” told her X account that it would be “pleased” to appear in the satirical program if it agreed to transmit the unattended interview.
Last week, Musk exploded Stewart after the host of “Daily Show” dedicated one of his monologues to cut Doge – with Stewart working so hard during his words that he ended up cutting his hand open.
On Monday evening, Stewart used his opening monologue to address Musk’s request.
“After a week prayer with my family – well, a family. It is a situation of crossing the family hall, ”Stewart said.
“After thinking about his offer, I thought,” You know, hey, this is actually how the studio interviews normally ventilate. Paeded. ‘So sure. We will be pleased, ”he said.
Stewart said he wants to “sweeten or remove the pot.”
“The interview can be 15 minutes, one hour, two hours, whatever. I will be honest, I don’t think this network does any other programming. So we can do whatever F -K love you. “
Stewart’s remarks followed Musk’s recent posts criticizing “The Daily Show” and its host.
In an X post, Musk labeled Stewart a “propagandist” while he was in another, he mourned that Stewart was once more two -party “.
“You give me very little credit,” Stewart replied on Monday.
“Again, the guy who ordered his dark magic hat he wears to act in the Oval office with the president, who spent $ 270 million to choose to think I am just very partisan.
Back and forth between Stewart and Musk was driven by host criticism of Mogul Tesla, who was in a cost cutting of the cost that aimed to reduce the federal government-a mandate given to him as head of the newly created government efficiency department.
Stewart continued to reiterate his willingness to wait for Musk and have a substantial discussion about the efficiency of government services.
“Elon, if you want to make the show, great. I generally support the idea of efficiency and providing the best services to the American public in cheaper and more efficient ways, and if you want to enter and talk about it on the show, excellent,” Stewart said.
The host then asked Musk to “release the pretense that you will not do it because I do not measure the neutral discourse standards you are looking for and display at any time.”
Musk, who has long defended the government by simplifying, later returned to the X with an offer in response to Stewart’s ardent criticism for Doge budget cuts.
“I will send some @doge trade to comfort him as he recovers from this injury,” Musk posted, referring to Stewart’s air error in which he cut his hand while slamming a cup of coffee on his table during a deception.
Despite the damage, Stewart continued its broadcast, later using the moment to emphasize its position in the government’s inefficiency.
“I want to get rid of alphabet agencies that don’t do enough,” Stewart said.
“Make the Pentagon pass an audit. But we are getting to the wrong place if we want to really change the system. “
Meanwhile, Trump’s official store has capitalized in the attention, starting a Doge -themed goods line, including Maga’s $ 55, $ 180 PickleBall driving and $ 47 members containing a president’s face graph.
Musk later responded to a post suggesting that Stewart’s injury was symbolic of democratic disappointment to him, responding with a Bullseye emoji and later commenting, “Anger Management Issues”.
So far, there is no confirmation if Musk will accept Stewart’s invitation, but given the constant internet exchanges, the possibility of an unmistakable face -to -face conversation remains open.
