The CNN Correspondent of White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins apparently deleted a post on social media after receiving reactions to promote a defense fund for Luigi Mangione, claimed by United Killer.
In posting X, Collins showed a link to a new website launched by defense lawyers for mangion, who allegedly faces CEO of UNITEHEALTHCARE Brian Thompson in Manhattan on December 4, 2024.
Thompson was a married father of two.
Mangione, 26, who was born to a wealthy Maryland family, was arrested at an McDonald’s in Altoona, without December 9 after a multi-state manhunt.
Following his arrest, followers donated over $ 300,000 for his legal protection.
After approaching Collins to comment on the issue, Fox News Digital later received a statement from a CNN spokesman who said the story was “without merit”.
“This was nothing more than a social post reporting news surrounding the trial,” the statement said.
Collins’ Post gained criticism from a number of users on X, including the contributing editor of spectator Stephen L. Miller.

Miller also called Collins to delete the post with “No Explanation”, saying, “Guess was not corresponding to the White House connected.”

Some users have even suggested that Collins should lose its press credentials and access to the White House.
