Joe Rogan said former Kamala Harris helpers lied when they claimed in a new book that Podcaster Spotify refused to make time for former President President during the election campaign because he preferred to interview President Donald Trump instead .
Rogan looked to set the record shortly after reports suggested that his team cheated Harris’s campaign for a possible appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.
“All this idea we ef – we did it and we ef – we did it for Trump – inaccurate, just not true,” Rogan said in Tuesday’s episode of his podcast.
Rogan opposed the allegations from the new book “War: Within the Wilder Battle for the White House”, which details the disappointments of Harris Insider with the process of booking.
According to the book written by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, Harris’s campaign went so far as to organize a Houston event with Beyoncé on October 25 to connect with a possible Rogan interview in Austin nearby.
However, they were later informed that the date was not available because of a personal day – by chance on the same day Rogan interviewed Donald Trump.
Rogan withdrew, saying the claims were inaccurate and that his team never deceived Harris camp.
“All this idea we cheated on it for Trump is just not true,” Rogan said.
“One of the things they said was not true was that we lied about the day when Trump was coming. We just didn’t tell them because they were not committed to making the show.”
Rogan explained that the Trump booking was easy.
“Trump was super easy. We offered one day. He said, ‘Yes’. That was that, “he said.” There was no definition, no determination, no edit-is a direct booking. The Harris team, on the other hand, never fully engaged. “
He also rejected claims that Harris’s team had taken a walk of his studio.
“That’s not true. These people did not have a date. They never refused to do the show, ”he insisted.
Rogan claimed that he initially hoped to broadcast both interviews on the same day and even offered Harris a late night slot after her Houston event.
“But no one ever committed to do it,” he said. “They continue to pretend that I lied.”
Following Trump’s appearance, Rogan said Harris’s team offered him to travel to Washington, DC, for an interview, but in strict conditions.
“They just wanted to do 45 minutes in an hour, and it wouldn’t be in my set,” he explained.
“I told them,” Look, Trump did it here. We too have to do it here. ‘ ”
The Harris team also allegedly demanded from staff members and a stenographer to be present.
Rogan dealt with these determinations, pointing out that Trump had come only without any conditions.
“It was very controlled and they were really worried about Podcast that was not edited,” he said.
“My manager asked if she was engaged and the answer was” no “.”
Rogan suggested that internal disputes within the Harris team may have played a role in breaking.
“There were some people on her staff who were against her doing it,” he said.
“They thought it was bad optics because they are a water bunch.”
Reflecting on the consequences, Rogan speculated that Harris’s campaign regretted the decision after seeing Trump’s interview withdrawing 50 million views.
“I think then they thought, ‘The hell? We should have done it,” he said.
Rogan also claimed that there were admissions documenting the discussions.
“We have a whole list of conversations that took place,” he said.
“I think someone is trying to cover their ass for the fact that she never did it.”
According to Rogan, the authors of the book never reached it for his side of the story.
“They allegedly talked to 150 people about it, but they didn’t talk to us,” he said.
“That’s a kind of madness.”
The post has requested comment from former Harris campaign assistants and the authors of the book.
