Meta Director General Mark Zuckerberg is said to be seeking to buy a residence in Washington DC – the last sign of his constant attempt to convenience up to the Trump administration.
Zuckerberg, who followed President Trump’s inauguration along with other prominent technology CEO earlier this month, has already identified a possible home in the area, the Financial Times reported, citing a source familiar with the issue.
The possible movement “signals Zuckerberg’s ambition to work closely with the Trump administration” on key issues such as artificial intelligence regulation, told Outlet sources.
Meta representatives did not immediately return a comment request.
A house in Washington DC would add to Zuckerberg’s already detailed portfolio of real estate, which includes numerous homes in California, as well as a massive $ 270 million complex in Hawaii.
In December, Zuckerberg denied that he was building a so -called “Bunker Doomsday” under his 1,400 -hectare home in Kauai, telling Bloomberg he was more “like a basement”.
The Facebook founder has accumulated praise for Trump in recent months as part of a major overthrow of their relationship.
The president had previously accused Meta of interfering with censorship and election and even threatened to imprison Zuckerberg for his role in the claim of wrongdoing.
“I think he just wants America to win,” Zuckerberg said during a high profile appearance at Podcast “Joe Rogan Experience” earlier this month.
During that interview, Zuckerberg claimed that Biden officials had pressured Meta to deduct posts about Covid-19 pandemia, including visible jokes and satire.
He also begs Trump from stopping European antitrust regulators from aiming at American technology firms with mass fine.
Prior to the inauguration, Zuckerberg met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Zuckerberg appointed UFC president Dana White, a long Trump ally, to serve on the Board of Meta Directors.
Elsewhere, the billionaire of conservative technology suddenly turned to the head killing Dei Meta initiatives and replacing left -wing policy chief Nick Clegg with the company’s most prominent Republican Joel Kaplan.
