‘The View’ co-host Sara Haines slams Sunny Host and Ana Navarro as they rage that Trump’s DEI policies are helping racists: ‘Money bureaucracy is bad’

The co-hosts of “The View” were furious with President Trump’s orders regarding DEI government offices on Thursday, arguing that he was shining a light on people who are racist.

“I think by getting rid of that and doing it in such a bold way on day one, what he’s doing is giving a green light to people who are racist, people who are homophobic. To the people who are against women and think they should be in the kitchen and tell them that there are no consequences for your racism,” co-host Ana Navarro said.

The federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) notified agency and department heads that they must begin taking steps to close all diversity, equity and inclusion offices by the end of Wednesday and place government employees in those office with paid leave, Fox News Digital reported Wednesday.

Co-host Sunny Hostin compared the move to Woodrow Wilson’s re-segregation of the federal government, which she said led to a “declining income not only for black workers, but for women as well.”

“I think it’s a war against people of color and what we’re going to see is a lot of pain, but especially for those communities that need those jobs,” Hostin added.

Co-host Sara Haines contradicted Navarro and Hostini, citing criticism of DEI’s programs and arguing that they have been “an evil bureaucracy of money.”

The co-host asked Hostin a question about why people feel threatened by the removal of DEI offices.

Hostin claimed that Trump’s executive orders “were also eliminating protections for discrimination in the awarding of government contracts.”

Haines said the criticism of DEI revolved around whether the programs are actually effective, and argued that wasn’t always the case.

“Statistics show that they are very effective,” Hostin replied.

Hostin said Tuesday that Trump himself was a “DEI employee,” arguing that he was a legacy employee and “was given everything.”

Co-host Ana Navarro said the administration was going through a purge.

“They’re finding out, you know, who might be doing — I mean, they’ve had people in different federal departments basically dig each other up. You know, who is a liberal? Who is Biden’s supporter? Who is in equity? And they’ve cleared those people, which they told us they were going to do,” Navarro said.
